POSTURE
Sit in rock pose, on the heels, or in Virasan; siting on the left heal with the right foot flat on the ground as the right knee is bent.
Keep the spine straight. With a light Jalandhar Bandh (neck lock): the neck long and the chin tucked in slightly.
MUDRA
Relax the arms down with the elbows bend. Raise the forearms up and in toward each other and interlace the fingers in front of the heart center. Let the sides of the thumbs touch and pull the thumbs back, towards the body.
EYES
Close the eyelids so they are 1/10th open – with a tiny crack open.
BREATH & MANTRA
Deeply inhale, and then completely exhale as you chant the mantra three times. (add kirtan kriya sound sample). Chant in a rhythm which suits your breath capacity. With practice, you can increase the repetition of the mantra from three to five times per breath.
TIME
31 minutes
ENDING
Raise the arms up straight over the head, with the fingers still interlaced and the palms up. Inhale, hold and stretch powerfully.
Repeat the breath in this posture twice more.
Relax.
